Welcome to DogCompass

I created, constructed and brought DogCompass to life with a lot of love and passion.

Relationship work – whether between people or between humans and animals – is hard work, but it pays off every day of your life and rarely goes hand in hand without a large portion of self-reflection and personal development.

After many years as an animal ethologist and trainer and as a relationship coach for pet owners, a few gray hairs, grief and worries, countless hours of hard mental work, research and also failures, I have finally found my way, which does justice to the animal and the owner. The intensive relationship with my own animals and living closely with them, as well as my two- and four-legged customers, have helped me an incredibly large part on this path.

Today I am able to respond to almost every human-animal conflict with easily understandable concepts and individual training and therapy plans and to restore a harmonious, sustainably balanced and fair human-animal relationship.

I would like to show you how you too can achieve this goal.

Dogs & Humans

This isn’t just about dogs – because it almost never is!

This is about the coexistence of dog and human, about the relationship between you and your dog!

The behavior of the dog as a hunter differs significantly from that of humans in action and reaction, eating behavior and nutrition, as well as in the social area.

Therefore, as a responsible dog owner, you should be well aware of these differences in order to be able to offer your dog a species-appropriate life and to be able to enjoy the dog’s company yourself.

In addition, it is an advantage for every dog owner to be able to read their dog’s behavior in order to react adequately and to recognize any behavioral problems and to manipulate them positively, or better still – not to let them occur in the first place.

Unfortunately, excessive dog love can often cause just as much damage in the human-dog relationship as neglecting the dog’s basic needs.

Furthermore, it is just as important to regard each animal as an individual and not to rely solely on breed characteristics, age or lineage, because each animal has its own special character and its innate temperament.

Feeding and eating behavior also play a major role in this context and should not be used solely for nutrition.

Are you ready to get involved in all these aspects of species-appropriate dog ownership and also to question your own behavior towards your dog?

Then you will have a loyal, grateful and happy companion at your side –

as long as your dog lives!!
